Top Ten Books on my Autumn TBR List
It’s already September; the days are getting shorter, and colder. Autumn is on our doorstep, so it’s time to make a TBR list for the season of yellow leaves, the season of rainy days and tea. And of course, the season of Halloween! Top Ten Tuesday is organised by the ladies of The Broke and the Bookish.
Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs – I was at the Bruna on Utrecht’s trainstation with my mum when I saw a copy of this book. Officially it doesn’t come out until today, but it was already there on Saturday! So my mum bought it for me, and I am so so so happy! Will read it asap!
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo – More awesome writings by Leigh, oh my gods I love her so much! She’s coming to my country in October, and I really hope I’ll be able to read this book before she’s here. But seeing as she’ll be in Rotterdam on 31 October and the book comes out on the first, I think I’ll manage!
The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan – MORE. MYTHOLOGY. BOOKS. BY. RICK. RIORDAN. YES! I got so excited when this book was announced, because Norse Mythology is my favourite, and Rick Riordan is an amazing Mythology author! I can’t wait to get my hands on this book…
Talon by Julie Kagawa – Mainly because I am hopefully going to meet her on the 30th of October, and I’ve only read one book of her (that I wasn’t a huge fan of). And this book is about dragons, how awesome is that?! Plus the cover looks amazing and yeah, I just want to read this book!
Between the Lines by Jodi Piccoult and Samantha van Leer – This is one of the books I got at Boekenfestijn, and I am very curious about it. I’ve heard a lot of things about it, but I don’t really know what it’s about. I guess I’ll see when I’m reading it!
Asylum by Madeline Roux – I tried reading this book before, but as ebook which didn’t really bring out the pictures well. It’s a book similar to Miss Peregrine’s, with ‘scary’ pictures and a story written around it. I’ll go and buy the physical book to see if it was really the ebook that I didn’t like, or the story in general.
Beauty Queens by Libba Bray – Again a book I’ve tried to read before, but at some point I just didn’t continue reading, and so I put it aside. There are so many good reviews about this book, and I really really want to read it! So I will pick it up again soon and really will try to finish it!
The Blood Cell by James Goss – Doctor Who has started again on the TV, and though I wasn’t a huge fan of the first episode that aired this weekend (I’ll post a review tomorrow), I am looking forward to the rest of the season. And I want to read some more Doctor Who books! Starting with this one, because it sounds really cool!
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell – Rainbow is writing a story about the Simon Snow books that Fangirl is about! How cool is that? I am really curious about this book, and I can’t wait to get a copy of it and read it!
Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier – I am not a huge fan of this series, but I do want to finish it, because I don’t like having series unfinished. So I will pick up my ereader soon to read this book!
