Top Ten Characters Who are also Book Lovers

Published by Nessa Luna on

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s subject is your top ten characters that are fellow book lovers. Either people who read a lot of books (obviously), but also writers, people who work at bookstores or libraries – and so forth. Here are my ten characters!

28 july 2015 - 01
Celaena Sardothien from the Throne of Glass series – I believe she literally devours books. When she was with Arobyn, when she went to the desert, when she was in the glass castle, she read a lot of books!

Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series – Couldn’t make a post like this without including Hermione, now could I? She loves books so much, it surprised me she didn’t marry them instead of Ron (just kidding). “When in doubt, go to the library!”

Cather from Fangirl – She loves the Simon Snow series so much, she writes fanfiction about it. I used to be like her (with Harry Potter, but I don’t write fanfiction anymore) and I can identify with her so much! This book is one of my absolute favourites.

Hazel Lancaster and Augustus Waters from The Fault in Our Stars – They loved this particular book so much, they went on a trip to Amsterdam to try and meet the author.

Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit – Oh how much he misses his books when he goes on his journey! And in Lord of the Rings, we find out he’s been writing a book! I could actually add Frodo Baggins here as well, seeing as he writes a story as well, in the same book that Bilbo wrote his in; so yay for Bagginses!

28 july 2015 - 02

Liesel Meminger from The Book Thief – Now this book wouldn’t be called ‘The Book Thief’ if it wasn’t about books right? Liesel loves books so much she even dares to steal them!

Dash & Lily from D&L’s Book of Dares – They make this little book of dares, daring each other to do things and write stuff in the notebook that Lily left in the bookstore they both love to visit, yay!

Ellie Linton from the Tomorrow series – Ellie writes these books, technically. They are her ‘diary’, in which she tells about all the things that have happened since the war started, about all the things she and her friends have been doing to fight the enemy.

Miranda from Life As We Knew It – This book and the third book in the series are told from Miranda’s point of view, as she writes in her diary.

Matilda from Matilda – I’m going to have to be honest with you, I haven’t read this book, nor have I completely watched the movies; but I do know that Matilda LOVES books a lot! (Yes I will put it on my to-read list, shh)

Which book-loving characters are on your list?
