July wasn’t an amazing reading month. I was at my gran’s house to look after the cat and brought seven books with me, of which I only finished one. I found out about a website on which I could read comics that were part of my youth (W.I.T.C.H.) and read a lot of those this month. Got a couple of books, watched a couple of nice movies; yeah July was a good month, just not for reading (I think seven books in a month isn’t that much tbh).
The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins– I found these amazing covers on AmazingBooks for only 3,70 euros a piece, so naturally, I had to buy them. They are so beautiful and shiny and they look really good for secondhand copies! I just wanted copies of this series that actually matched, and now I do, yay!
The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas – I FINALLY bought it yeah! This is a prequel to the Throne of Glass series and has five novella’s in it all about Celaena’s life before Endovier. I thought that ‘The Assassin and the Princess’ would be in here as well, but it wasn’t and I can’t seem to find it anywhere on Goodreads anymore? Bit odd, but hey I got The Assassin’s Blade!!!
Magic Study by Maria V. Snyder – I LOVED Poison Study and I wanted to buy Magic Study with the same cover design as PS, but apparently, it was unavailable everywhere around the time I wanted to order it. So I stalled and stalled and eventually last month I found a (secondhand?) copy of it on the German Amazon website. Ordered it immediately, and when I wrote my review for this book I found out that this cover was apparently available again, everywhere. *sighs*
Balefire by Cate Tiernan – I saw this book (which actually consists of four complete books) on Bol.com and decided to just order it because it was cheap (cheaper than on BookDepository) and I liked her Sweep books, so I thought why not?!
My birthday was two months ago, and my friend told me she would get me a Quicksilver Funko Pop. We searched everywhere but apparently, there is no Funko for Quicksilver yet; so when she went to LFCC she got me a couple of comics – I’d been wanting to read House of M for a long time now, and now I finally can, yay! The other one she got because it’s got Wanda Maximoff on the cover, and I love Wanda! (The comic has nothing to do with her, but it’s Wanda)
