WWW & Waiting On Wednesday (28/01)
Another Wednesday, another WWW & Waiting On post. It’s quite a rainy day today; which is a perfect day for staying inside and reading. (Though I am going to the shopping center later on today). WWW Wednesday is a weekly bloghop created by MizB from Should be Reading. In this bloghop, you answer three questions: What are you currently reading; What did you recently finish; What do you think you’ll read next. Here are my answers for this week!
What are you currently reading? I am reading Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers, which I got from Netgalley a while ago. I can now properly read it on my tablet which makes me really happy. Also I have started Ensnared by A.G. Howard but I haven’t read much of it, mainly because I don’t want it to end. I really like this series, and I’m just scared I’ll be disappointed by the end of it.
What did you recently finish? I finished all three books I was reading last week, which are Fractured by Teri Terry. I still need to write a review about it (will probably do that tonight), but I can say I loved it a lot! I also finished Please Remain Calm by Courtney Summers, which I liked. And I finished Endgame: The Calling by James Frey, which I disliked a lot. I have written reviews about the latter two books which you can find here, and here.
What do you think you’ll read next? Well, I’ve actually made a list of the books I want to read in February (hopefully that’ll get me to read at least ten books a month). But the one from that list that I am most looking forward to read is The Shadow Cabinet by Maureen Johnson.
I just found out that WWW Wednesday isn’t a weekly meme on SBR anymore, so I might not do it anymore either.. I’ll see about it next Wednesday, and otherwise I’ll just post the Waiting on Wednesday from now on!
Waiting On Wednesday is a bloghop created by Jill from Breaking the Spine. It has you talking about (not yet released) books that you can’t wait to get your hands on.
Title: All the Rage (Goodreads)
Author: Courtney Summers
Released on: 14 April 2015
Summary: The sheriff’s son, Kellan Turner, is not the golden boy everyone thinks he is, and Romy Grey knows that for a fact. Because no one wants to believe a girl from the wrong side of town, the truth about him has cost her everything—friends, family, and her community. Branded a liar and bullied relentlessly by a group of kids she used to hang out with, Romy’s only refuge is the diner where she works outside of town. No one knows her name or her past there; she can finally be anonymous. But when a girl with ties to both Romy and Kellan goes missing after a party, and news of him assaulting another girl in a town close by gets out, Romy must decide whether she wants to fight or carry the burden of knowing more girls could get hurt if she doesn’t speak up. Nobody believed her the first time—and they certainly won’t now — but the cost of her silence might be more than she can bear.
With a shocking conclusion and writing that will absolutely knock you out,All the Rage examines the shame and silence inflicted upon young women after an act of sexual violence, forcing us to ask ourselves: In a culture that refuses to protect its young girls, how can they survive?
Why am I waiting on this book?: I really enjoyed This Is Not a Test and Please Remain Calm by Courtney Summers, and I told myself I wanted to read more of her books. Then I heard about this new book and I just decided to add it to my to-read list without really reading the summary. After reading that, I decided I wanted to read it more, so hence it being on my Waiting On list today!
So there goes another Wednesday.. Which books are on your WWW list, and which book are you waiting on? Leave a comment!
