WWW & Waiting On Wednesday (21/01)
It’s Wednesday again, so of course it is time for WWW and Waiting On Wednesday! WWW Wednesday is a weekly bloghop created by MizB from Should be Reading. In this bloghop, you answer three questions: What are you currently reading; What did you recently finish; What do you think you’ll read next. Here are my answers for this week!
What are you currently reading? At the moment, I am reading three books (oops). I am reading Fractured by Teri Terry which I picked up this Saturday at my local bookshop (after ordering it even before I finished the previous book in the series). I really love what I’ve read so far, and I can’t wait to finish it (though not too soon because then I’d have to get the third book and I don’t have any money at the moment). I am also reading Please Remain Calm by Courtney Summers, a zombie novella that is the sequel of This Is Not a Test, one of the very few zombie books that I liked.
And I am reading Endgame: The Calling by James Frey and Nils Johnson-Shelton. But personally I am not really enjoying what I’ve read so far. Mainly because of the changing POV’s, and because… I don’t know… I’m just not liking it that much. Which is why I’ve kind of put it aside to read Fractured right now.
What did you recently finish? I finished Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier, which I enjoyed but didn’t love as I expected I would. I mean I love the whole time travel aspect of the story, but I had expected more of it. I will read the other two books in the series, but I’ll say that I am glad I didn’t buy the physical books because I was really thinking about getting the hardcovers and that would probably have been a waste of my money. My review can be found here!
I also started and finished Where She Went by Gayle Forman which I liked but didn’t love as much as the sequel for Just One Day. I really liked reading more about Adam and Mia, but I didn’t really like their personalities in this book. I’ve written a review which will be posted tomorrow.
What do you think you’ll read next? Ensnared. ENSNARED. E N S N A R E D. Written by A.G. Howard. The third book in the Splintered series. The last book in the Splintered series. And I finally have it in my hands (okay not now otherwise I wouldn’t be able to type this). As soon as I finish Please Remain Calm, I will open this book and devour it (not literally). ENSNAAAAAAAAAAARED!
Waiting On Wednesday is a bloghop created by Jill from Breaking the Spine. It has you talking about (not yet released) books that you can’t wait to get your hands on.
Title: Lock & Mori (Goodreads)
Series: Lock & Mori #1
Author: Heather Petty
Release Date: 15 September 2015
Debut author Heather Petty’s Lock & Mori trilogy, in which a female Moriarty teams up with her classmate Sherlock Holmes to solve a mystery in modern-day London, until the answers lead him too close to all that she’s been hiding. This book has no cover yet so I’ve just made something really quickly in photoshop!
Why I am waiting on this book: It’s teenage Sherlock Holmes and female Moriarty! And a modern-day version! I am just really curious for this book and yeah I want it now!
