Best of 2014: Best Movies Seen in 2014
In this fourth post, I am going to talk about movies again, but this time movies that I’ve watched this year (not necessarily for the first time) that I really really liked. And of course those that were released prior to 2014. These are in alphabetical order, and the release dates are when they were released in the Netherlands (if available)
The story revolves around a dying father and his son, who is trying to learn more about his dad by piercing together the stories he has gathered over the years.
While subjected to the horrors of World War II in Germany, young Liesel finds solace by stealing books and sharing them with others. In the basement of her home, a Jewish refugee is being sheltered by her adoptive parents.

A homebody Hobbit in Middle Earth gets talked into joining a quest with a group of dwarves to recover their treasure from a dragon.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader – 9 December 2010 – ★★★★☆
Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace, where they meed up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world.
Not Another Happy Ending – 11 October 2013 – ★★★★☆
When a struggling publisher discovers his only successful author is blocked, he knows he has to unblock her or he’s finished. With her newfound success, she’s become too damn happy and she can’t write when she’s happy. The only trouble is, the worse he makes her feel, the more he realises he’s in love with her.
A woman tries to exonerate her brother, who was convicted of murder, by proving that the crime was committed by a supernatural phenomenon.

Red Riding Hood – 14 April 2011 – ★★★☆☆
Set in a medieval village that is haunted by a werewolf, a young girl falls for an orphaned woodcutter, much to her family’s displeasure.
X-Men First Class – 2 June 2011 – ★★★★☆
In 1962, the United States government enlists the help of Mutants with superhuman abilities to stop a malicious dictator who is determined to start World War III.
