WWW & Waiting On Wednesday (17/12)
Today is Wednesday the 17th of December. Two days ago I saw the Battle of Five Armies for the second time. In two days my favourite band will play a show in Den Haag (The Hague) and the day after they will play their last ever show. And of course, it is time for another WWW and Waiting on Wednesday post. WWW Wednesday is a weekly bloghop created by MizB from Should be Reading. It has you answering three simple questions: What are you currently reading, What did you recently finish and What do you think you’ll read next? Here are my answers!
What are you currently reading? | Right now, I am reading Prodigy by Marie Lu. The second book in the Legend series. I didn’t enjoy the first one a lot because I read it in Dutch and that kind of ruined my reading experience, but so far I am really liking the second book. So perhaps I will reread the first one in English soon.
I am also reading The Iron King by Julie Kagawa, which I haven’t read much of yet, but I did really enjoy what I’ve read so far. It’s a change from all the vampire/werewolf/demon/angel books I’ve heard about lately.
What did you recently finish? | Since last Wednesday, I actually only finished one novella, Life Before Legend by Marie Lu, which was really nice to read.
What do you think you’ll read next? | When I’m finished with these two books I am currently reading, I will have made my goal of 120 books this year; so I don’t know what I am going to read next. Perhaps I’ll just make a start in The Silmarillion (the audiobook this time) by J.R.R. Tolkien.
Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly bloghop created by Jill from Breaking the Spine and it has you posting about books you can’t wait to get your hands on; new releases or books that have been released already but that you just haven’t gotten yet.
Title: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, Extended Edition (IMDb)
Series: The Hobbit movies #3
Author: J.R.R. Tolkien (novel), Peter Jackson (director)
Release Date: 2015
Bilbo and Company are forced to engage in a war against an array of combatants and keep the terrifying Smaug from acquiring a kingdom of treasure and obliterating all of Middle-Earth.
Why I am waiting on this
You might have read my review of this movie and read that I wasn’t really that happy with the things that happened in it (the movie, not the review jsyk). There were some minor things that I would have loved to see changed, but alas, the movie is out and they are ‘movie canon’ as people would call it. Anyway, there is still the Extended Edition of the movie that will come out next year, that might soften these things a bit. I am just going to keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. (Yes I loved the movie, a lot, but U G H).
