WWW & Waiting On Wednesday (29/10)

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme organized by MizB from Should Be Reading. It has you answering the following three questions: What are you currently reading; What did you recently finish and What do you think you’ll read next? To see my previous WWW Wednesday posts, just click this link and it’ll take you to the right page! (I skipped last week’s Wednesday, because I was very tired and I hadn’t really read much that week anyway so here I am with a post for two weeks).

heirfireWHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING? | At the moment, I am reading Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas and The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Mythology by Arthur Coterell and Rachel Storm. I haven’t read much of the latter, because I am actually just skimming parts to read the parts I like, but I do like that this book talks about more mythologies than just the Greek and Roman (which is actually the reason I wanted this book).

I have read about 160 pages of Heir of Fire, and I absolutely love it. I am not a big fan of Manon yet, but I am guessing she’ll be important to the story so I’m just going to keep reading her chapters.

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH? | Since the Wednesday two weeks ago, I finished a couple of books. I finished re-reading The Dead and the Gone and This World We Live In by Susan Beth Pfeffer. And then I also started and finished The Shade of the Moon, the fourth book in the series. I didn’t really enjoy that fourth book much, because of the main character (Jon, Miranda’s little brother), but I did like reading the chapters in which he saw his family. I’ll post my review of this book tomorrow!

I also finished reading The One by Kiera Cass, which I liked a slightly bit more than the previous two, but still not enough to give it more than three stars. Then I also read the short story The Prince, which was likable but not really amazing actually. I have written a review about The One, which you can read here.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT?  | When I’m finished with Heir of Fire, I would like to start Cell by Stephen King. It’s one of the books I got at the boekenfestijn, and even though I wasn’t really convinced by Carrie, I am still curious about his books. I also want to start Silhouette by Justin Richards, a Doctor Who book featuring the Twelfth Doctor (Peter Capaldi) and Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) as well as Madame Vastra, Jenny and Strax.

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly blog hop hosted by Breaking the Spine, where I will post about upcoming releases that I am excited for!

courtthornsrosesTitle: A Court of Thorns and Roses (Goodreads)

When 19-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she’s been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow over the faerie lands is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it … or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

SARAH J MAAS IS WRITING A SERIES BASED ON BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!!!!!!!!! When I first saw the cover, I flailed because that cover is gorgeous! Then I read the summary, and then I read it was going to be based on Beauty and the Beast, and I was sold. I love Throne of Glass, and I just can’t wait for this book to come out so I can devour it. But 5 May 2015?!?!?!?! SO FAR AWAY!

What are you reading, what did you recently finish, what do you want to start reading, and what’s the first book on your wishlist? Share your answers in a comment (a link to your blog or just your answers if you don’t have a blog)!
