WWW & Wishlist Wednesday (18/06)

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme organized by MizB from Should Be Reading. It has you answering the following three questions: What are you currently reading; What did you recently finish and What do you think you’ll read next? To see my previous WWW Wednesday posts, just click this link and it’ll take you to the right page!

18371759WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING? | I have started reading Runelight by Joanne Harris a couple of days ago, and I absolutely love it. Still not used to all the POV’s though, but I know they are needed to properly tell the story. I am just so curious to know how the story ends, so I am going to do my best to finish it asap! I am also reading To Know Me by Marcy Blesy. I got this book from Amazon when it was a freebie (not sure if it still is atm) and I like what I’ve read until now, even though it’s not a lot.

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH? | Since last Wednesday I finished both 30 Second Mythology by Robert A. Segal, of which I have written a review here; and Through a Tangled Wood by various authors, of which I will probably not write a review, or perhaps in a couple of days, if I feel like it. I liked the book, but I can’t say I would have purchased a real copy of it. The stories weren’t all amazing, I actually only really liked two of them, out of seven, so yeah, it was okay. And I also started and finished both Just One Year and Just One Night by Gayle Forman. It arrived last week and I decided that I really wanted to know what Willem’s side of the story was, so I finished it within twelve hours. I have written a review about Just One Year, but not about JON because it’s just a novella (but I really really loved it, and it gave me exactly what I wanted!)

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT? | After Runelight, I am probably going to start Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas, I have heard a lot of good things about it, and I am very very curious! Or, if it’s arrived already when I finished RL, I will read Shadow & Bone by Leigh Bardugo, another book that has made me curious. I’ll see!

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop hosted by Pen to Paper, where I’ll post about one book per week that has been on my wishlist for some time, or just added, that I can’t wait to get off the wishlist and onto my shelves.

22489107Title: Fairest (Goodreads)
Series: The Lunar Chronicles #0.1
Author: Marissa Meyer
Release date: January 2015

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who is the fairest of them all?

Fans of the Lunar Chronicles know Queen Levana as a ruler who uses her “glamour” to gain power. But long before she crossed paths with Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress, Levana lived a very different story – a story that has never been told . . . until now.

Marissa Meyer spins yet another unforgettable tale about love and war, deceit and death. This extraordinary book includes full-color art and an excerpt from Winter, the next book in the Lunar Chronicles series.

When this book was announced, I actually went ‘OMG’ out loud. I loved the Lunar Chronicles, and I really really can’t wait for Winter to be released (though of course, I also can, because it’ll be the last book in the series), and I have never expected another book in this series (a novella, yes, but an actual book, no). Fairest will tell the story of Queen Levana, which is not really among my favourite characters, but I would love to know what has made her so incredibly twisted. So yes, I am so excited for this book! And I love the cover! Though the person on the cover actually makes me think of the Witch-king of Angmar a bit, you know the one that stabbed Frodo in Fellowship of the Ring, the one that was killed by Eowyn in Return of the King. That Witch-king.
