WWW & Wishlist Wednesday (11/06)
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme organized by MizB from Should Be Reading. It has you answering the following three questions: What are you currently reading; What did you recently finish and What do you think you’ll read next? To see my previous WWW Wednesday posts, just click this link and it’ll take you to the right page!
WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING? | At the moment, I am reading 30 Second Mythology by Robert A. Segal. It’s about Greek and Roman mythology, which I think is a bit of a shame, because I would have loved to have Norse mythology there as well. But what I’ve read so far (not a lot actually) is quite nice! I am also reading Through A Tangled Wood by several authors, none of which I have read any other books from. I found out about this book (which is available for free on Amazon, by the way) when an author I follow tweeted something about it. I thought I’d try it out, but so far I am not really enjoying it.
WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH? | The last books I finished were Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. I posted my review of this book right here. I also finished The Demigod files by Rick Riordan, which has some awesome information about the Percy Jackson series; about the Gods, interviews with several of the campers (including Percy and Annabeth), and three short stories. I’m not sure if I’m going to write a review about it, but if I do, you’ll know! And the last book I finished was Bang by Lisa McMann. I read Crash, the first book in the series, a long time ago and decided it was finally time to continue reading the series. Personally, I thought Bang was a bit better than Crash, and I will write my review about the book asap!
WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT? | When I’m finished with 30 Second Mythology, I am going to start Runelight by Joanne Harris. I’ve had this book on my shelf since I came back from Newcastle, and I really can’t wait to get started in it. I want to know how the story goes on!
Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop hosted by Pen to Paper, where I’ll post about one book per week that has been on my wishlist for some time, or just added, that I can’t wait to get off the wishlist and onto my shelves.
Title: Ensnared (Goodreads)
Series: Splintered #3
Author: A.G. Howard
Release date: January 2015
After surviving a disastrous battle at prom, Alyssa has embraced her madness and gained perspective. She’s determined to rescue her two worlds and the people and netherlings she loves. Even if it means challenging Queen Red to a final battle of wills and wiles… and even if the only way to Wonderland, now that the rabbit hole is closed, is through the looking-glass world—a parallel dimension filled with mutated and sadistic netherling outcasts.
In the final installment of the Splintered trilogy, Alyssa and her dad journey into the heart of magic and mayhem in search of her mom and to set right all that’s gone wrong. Together with Jeb and Morpheus, they must salvage Wonderland from the decay and destruction that has ensnared it. But even if everyone succeeds and comes out alive, can they all truly have their happily ever after?
Oh oh oh, I can’t wait for this book! I loved Splintered and Unhinged, and I really want to know how the story goes on, what is going to happen to Alyssa, because there was a kind of cliffhanger at the end of Unhinged. ALSO COVER. Hello beautiful colours, hello Jeb, I just want to compliment the creator(s) of these covers because they are what made me want to read this series in the first place (okay and the promise of creepy Wonderland). Wow. But January 2015, that’s still so far away! (Okay, six months, but still that’s a lot!) Come to me, precious!
