WWW & Wishlist Wednesday (07/05)

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme organized by MizB from Should Be Reading. It has you answering the following three questions: What are you currently reading; What did you recently finish and What do you think you’ll read next? To see my previous WWW Wednesday posts, just click this link and it’ll take you to the right page!

34WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING? | I am still reading The Trials of the Core by Michael E. Thies, I really like it so far, but I just can’t get myself to read a lot of this book, mainly because I am in such a massive reading slump. I’m considering putting it aside so I can read it properly when I’m out of this stupid slump. I have just started Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling, though, but I can basically dream that book so I don’t have to concentrate on it.

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH? | Finally, a book finished. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I found out something amazing in this book; when I reached page 666, the first word on that page was Umbridge, proving that Umbridge is really one of the most evil characters in this book. I posted this on tumblr four days ago, and it has more than 20,000 notes, one of my most popular posts to date.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT? | Like I said in my previous WWW post, I want to start The Coldest Girl in Cold Town by Holly Black. I am also thinking about starting Paper Towns by John Green, because I really want to read this book mostly because it’s also being made into a movie.

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop hosted by Pen to Paper, where I’ll post about one book per week that has been on my wishlist for some time, or just added, that I can’t wait to get off the wishlist and onto my shelves.

insanity2Title: Insanity (Goodreads)
Author: Cameron Jace
Release date: 19 December 2013

After accidentally killing everyone in her class, Alice Wonder is now a patient in the Radcliffe Lunatic Asylum. No one doubts her insanity. Only a hookah-smoking professor believes otherwise; that he can prove her sanity by decoding Lewis Carroll’s paintings, photographs, and find Wonderland’s real whereabouts. Professor Caterpillar persuades the asylum that Alice can save lives and catch the wonderland monsters now reincarnated in modern day criminals. In order to do so, Alice leads a double life: an Oxford university student by day, a mad girl in an asylum by night. The line between sanity and insanity thins when she meets Jack Diamond, an arrogant college student who believes that nonsense is an actual science.

I am really into fairy tale retellings; I loved the Lunar Chronicles, the Splintered series, and I know that Cameron Jace has written stories based on the stories of the Brothers Grimm. I wasn’t a big fan of his Grimm Diary prequels (short stories), but I would love to check out Grimm Diary books, and this one of course. The cover just looks amazing, and the summary sounds really nice as well.
