WWW & Wishlist Wednesday (29/01)

www wednesday1WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme organized by MizB from Should Be Reading. It has you answering the following three questions: What are you currently reading; What did you recently finish and What do you think you’ll read next? To see my previous WWW Wednesday posts, just click this link and it’ll take you to the right page!

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING? | At the moment, I am still reading Hollow City by Ransom Riggs. I just don’t want to rush it, even though I want to know how the rest of the book is!17

I have also started Seventeen by Mark D. Diehl, a book that I got through Netgalley. I was a bit reluctant to read any Netgalley books for a while, because the previous two/three I read weren’t really that awesome as I had expected. This book started off a bit odd (some of the words are cut off at the wrong places and that annoys me a tiny bit), but I’m quite curious how this story goes on.

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH? | I finished Runemarks by Joanne Harris, and I’ve written a review about the book here!

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT? | Yeah, I said I’d start Unhinged by A.G. Howard, but then I remembered the Netgalley books that are still waiting on my phone. I am going to read the first chapter of the Netgalley book, see if it’s really something I’m going to like, and if not I will definitely start Unhinged! After I finished Hollow City, I will also start the Medea Complex by Rachel Florence Roberts.

wishlist wednesdayWishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop hosted by Pen to Paper, where I’ll post about one book per week that has been on my wishlist for some time, or just added, that I can’t wait to get off the wishlist and onto my shelves.

runemarksTitle: Runelight (Goodreads)
Series: Runemarks #2
Author: Joanne Harris
Release date: 2011

The squabbling Norse gods and goddesses of Runemarks are back! And there’s a feisty new heroine on the scene: Maggie, a girl the same age as Maddy but brought up a world apart – literally, in World’s End, the focus of the Order in which Maddy was raised. Now the Order is destroyed, Chaos is filling the vacuum left behind… and is breaching the everyday world.

A chilling prophecy from the Oracle. A conflict between two girls. And with just twelve days to stave off the Apocalypse, carnage is about to be unleashed . . .

As you might have read in my review of Runemarks, I really loved that book. There’s a sequel to the first, which made me really excited, and I can’t wait to read this one. I had some questions at the end of the last book, and I hope those questions will be answered in this book. And I mean, Norse Gods, come on, I loooooooove them!
