WWW & Wishlist Wednesday (15/01)

www_wednesdays4WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme organized by MizB from Should Be Reading. It has you answering the following three questions: What are you currently reading; What did you recently finish and What do you think you’ll read next? To see my previous WWW Wednesday posts, just click this link and it’ll take you to the right page!

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING? | I am reading Runemarks by Joanne Harris, and The Magical Worlds of Harry Potter: A Treasury of Myths, Legends, and Fascinating Facts by David Colbert. The last one is because I can’t really get myself to read any fiction books at the moment (Runemarks is an exception), and I just wanted to have some books read before the end of this month. So I decided to read some non-fiction books instead!

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH? | Since the last time, I finished 3-Minute J.R.R. Tolkien by Gary Raymond and Just One Day by Gayle Forman. You can read the reviews here, and here.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT? | I am going to start Unhinged by A.G. Howard when I finish the non-fiction book, because I got it delivered a couple of days ago and I am so excited to start reading it!

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop hosted by Pen to Paper, where I’ll post about one book per week that has been on my wishlist for some time, or just added, that I can’t wait to get off the wishlist and onto my shelves.

15Title: Cress (Goodreads)
Series: The Lunar Chronicles #3
Author: Marissa Meyer
Release date: 4 February 2014

Rapunzel’s tower is a satellite. She can’t let down her hair—or her guard.

In this third book in the bestselling Lunar Chronicles series, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.

Their best hope lies with Cress, who has been trapped on a satellite since childhood with only her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker—unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.

When a daring rescue goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a high price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing stop her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only ones who can.

I fell in love with this series from the moment I started reading ‘Cinder’, I just loved the modern (or futuristic) fairy-tales and I just loved the characters. When we met Scarlet in the previous book, I got more and more excited, and now we’re about to meet Rapunzel, or ‘Cress’ as she’s called in this story.

It won’t come out for another month though, but I’m patient, I can wait (and I will promise to not quote the Desolation of Smaug anymore).
