I haven’t posted any TV Show Thursday’s last week and the week before, because I was a bit busy with other stuff, and I couldn’t really think of any TV show to talk about. Because today’s Halloween, I decided to talk about a show that I found a bit scary at first, but one that I’ve started to like later on. I am talking about Supernatural!
When Sam and Dean Winchester were just kids, their mother was horribly murdered in front of their father by something “supernatural”. Their lives were never the same again. After their mother’s murder, their father took an interest in the supernatural and the unexplained and raised the boys as warriors with skills to fight back against the unknown and protect the innocent. 22 years later, with Sam and Dean grown up, their father suddenly disappears on a suppose routine supernatural hunt. Sam and Dean search for their father and along the way help anyone with a supernatural problem with the help from their dad’s journal that contains most of his knowledge about the supernatural that he had accumulated over his 22 years of none-stop obsessive hunting. I have only watched about five or six episodes of the first season, because I have so many thing I want to watch, but the episodes that I’ve seen were very promising. Season nine has just started in America, and that means I have a lot of episodes to watch (every season has about 22 episodes). The trailer you see is not an official trailer, but a fanmade one, but I thought this one was really cool so I decided to use it.
At first, I didn’t want to watch Supernatural, mainly because of their fans. If you go to Tumblr, you will find a lot of Supernatural fans. A LOT. A big group of them are a bit… well… odd… One of the things that bothered me a lot, was that the majority of the fans seemed to like ‘Superwholock’ which is a mixture of Supernatural, Doctor Who and Sherlock. I personally do not like it, and that was the main reason I didn’t want to watch Supernatural. Eventually, I watched the first episode (which kinda scared the hell out of me), and I just decided to watch season one, to see what it was all about. The first episode was really awesome, and my friend challenged me to continue watching, and so I did. The first five episodes are all really awesome, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the first season is like.
If you are looking for a nice supernatural show, which ghosts, demons and all that kind of stuff, I highly recommend Supernatural to you! There are scary moments, there are funny moments, emotional moments, I think this show has almost everything!
