I was meant to post this last Thursday, which was coïncidentially Tag Thursday ánd my birthday. But I completely forgot to finish this tag, so it never got posted on Thursday. Anyway, here I am, the following Thursday with the Birthday Book Tag. I found this on Cornerfolds and decided I wanted to take it over!
Count your birthday along your bookshelf, and then subtract your birth month. What book does it land on?
I am terrible at Maths, so I had to actually look up what ‘subtract’ meant, and then I felt kind of dumb. Anyway, if I count along eighteen books and subtract five, I get Lobsters by Tom Ellen and Lucy Ivison.
If you could spend your birthday with any fictional character, who would it be and why?
At the moment, the character I love the most is Cassian Andor from Rogue One. I also very much love Diego Luna, so yes I would love to spend my birthday with this character/actor.
Find a book that takes place in the season you were born in.
Honestly, I have no idea what book to choose. The first thing that actually comes to mind is A Court of Thorns and Roses because it takes place in the Spring Court where it’s always Spring, but other than that I can’t think of any book that specifically mentioned the season.
Find a book that is the colour of your birthstone
I had to look up what colour my birthstone is because for some reason I used to think it was a rose quartz, but apparently, it’s emerald. In that case, I am picking The Hammer of Thor by Rick Riordan, because that’s also a book in one of my favourite series ever!
Is there a series with the same number of books as your age? If so what is it?
I’m twenty-five, and honestly, I have no idea if there are even series with this many books. Might be some vampire series or something like that, but it definitely won’t be a series I will be invested in.
Pick a book set in a time period, world, or country you would like to have been born in.
I would have loved to have been born in New Zealand, but at the moment I can’t think of a book that exclusively takes place there. I do remember one book in the Tomorrow When the War Began series, which takes place there for a bit, but most of the rest of the book takes place in Australia. I also love Wales, though, and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children takes place on a Welsh island!
