WWW & Wishlist Wednesday (16/07)

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme organized by MizB from Should Be Reading. It has you answering the following three questions: What are you currently reading; What did you recently finish and What do you think you’ll read next? To see my previous WWW Wednesday posts, just click this link and it’ll take you to the right page!

cover-catching-fireWHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING? | At the moment, I am reading James Potter and the Hall of Elders’ Crossing by G. Norman Lippert. I am not sure what to think about it yet, because even though it’s a Harry Potter Universe story, it’s still fanfiction and I think my main problem with it is that it’s not written by J.K. Rowling. I’ll post a review about it when I’ve finished it, which I think might take a while.

I am also reading a Dutch book called Alles Is Weg (Everything’s Gone), by Anke and Lieke Kranendonk. So far, I found it very strange and not very likable.

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH? | The last books I finished were Vals by Mel Wallis de Vries, a Dutch book that I enjoyed but also not really. I read it because I could download it for free from an app, but it wasn’t really something I would buy.

Then, I read both Catching Fire and Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins, which I loved of course. And I read Four, a Divergent Collection by Veronica Roth which was really awesome. I’ve posted a review of this book on my blog.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT? | I hope I’ll be reading Siege & Storm by Leigh Bardugo soon, because I really really want to know what’s going to happen! And Lies by Michael Grant, the third book in the Gone series. I am going to give this series another chance!

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop hosted by Pen to Paper, where I’ll post about one book per week that has been on my wishlist for some time, or just added, that I can’t wait to get off the wishlist and onto my shelves.

book-silhouetteTitle: Silhoutte (Goodreads)
Series: Doctor Who New Series Adventures
Author: Justin Richards
Release date: 11 September 2014

“Vastra and Strax and Jenny? Oh no, we don’t need to bother them. Trust me.”

Marlowe Hapworth is found dead in his locked study, killed by an unknown assailant. This is a case for the Great Detective, Madame Vastra.

Rick Bellamy, bare-knuckle boxer, has the life drawn out of him by a figure dressed as an undertaker. This angers Strax the Sontaran.

The Carnival of Curiosities, a collection of bizarre and fascinating sideshows and performers. This is where Jenny Flint looks for answers.

How are these things connected? And what does Orestes Milton, rich industrialist, have to do with it all? As the Doctor and Clara joint the hunt for thr truth they find themselves thrust into a world where nothing and no one are what they seem.

Of course, with a new Doctor you need new Doctor Who books! Right now, there are three books confirmed and this one sounded the most interesting to me. Mainly because it has Vastra, Strax and Jenny in it which are really awesome characters in the series, and yeah the story just sounds really interesting!

What are you reading, what did you recently finish, what do you want to start reading, and what’s the first book on your wishlist? Share your answers in a comment (a link to your blog or just your answers if you don’t have a blog)! Also, sorry for the lack of Goodreads links, but the website isn’t working for me at the moment.. I’ll add them as soon as it does!
