WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme organized by MizB from Should Be Reading. It has you answering the following three questions: What are you currently reading; What did you recently finish and What do you think you’ll read next? To see my previous WWW Wednesday posts, just click this link and it’ll take you to the right page!
WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING? | I am still reading Just One Day by Gayle Forman, but I’m nearly finished with it. I just didn’t feel like reading much last week, but on Monday I decided to give it a chance again. And I am also still reading the Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien, and I am currently also looking for an audiobook so I can listen to it while reading.
WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH? | Haven’t finished any new books since last week, but I did mark some books as DNF, mainly Netgalley books.
WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT? | Like I said in the previous post, the next book I want to read is Runemarks by Joanne Harris. It’s about Norse mythology, so that’s really interesting, imo.
Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop hosted by Pen to Paper, where I’ll post about one book per week that has been on my wishlist for some time, or just added, that I can’t wait to get off the wishlist and onto my shelves.
Title: Panic (Goodreads)
Author: Lauren Oliver
Release date: 4 March 2014
Panic began as so many things do in Carp, a dead-end town of 12,000 people in the middle of nowhere: because it was summer, and there was nothing else to do.
Heather never thought she would compete in Panic, a legendary game played by graduating seniors, where the stakes are high and the payoff is even higher. She’d never thought of herself as fearless, the kind of person who would fight to stand out. But when she finds something, and someone, to fight for, she will discover that she is braver than she ever thought.
Dodge has never been afraid of Panic. His secret will fuel him, and get him all the way through the game, he’s sure of it. But what he doesn’t know is that he’s not the only one with a secret. Everyone has something to play for.
For Heather and Dodge, the game will bring new alliances, unexpected revelations, and the possibility of first love for each of them—and the knowledge that sometimes the very things we fear are those we need the most.
I loved the Delirium series, and Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver, and this book sounds awesome as well. I just really like Lauren’s writing! And though it’s simple, the cover looks really amazing!
