SDCC Trailers: Crimes of Grindelwald, Aquaman

There are two moments in the year where Movie/TV trailers drop out of the sky like raindrops: the Superbowl and San Diego Comic Con. Yesterday, Warner Bros released trailers for some upcoming movies, two of which I am very excited for!

The Crimes of Grindelwald (16 November)

The second installment of the “Fantastic Beasts” series set in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World featuring the adventures of magizoologist Newt Scamander. Cast: Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Johnny Depp, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol. IMDB.

First of all, there is the second Fantastic Beasts movie, titled The Crimes of Grindelwald. I am very excited about this movie especially after Jude Law has been cast as Dumbledore. The trailer looks (wait for it) fantastic and I can’t wait for the movie to come out in November!

Aquaman (21 December)

Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and to be a hero to the world. Cast: Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Randall Park, Patrick Wilson. IMDB.

Now look, I didn’t love Justice League – but one of the better things about that movie was Aquaman, so yes I am looking forward to this movie. Carefully, yes, but seeing as I loved Wonder Woman, I have a bit more hope for this movie than I had for JL. I mean come on, Jason Momoa. Y. E. S.

Of course, there are so many more trailers and clips that have been released during this SDCC weekend, but these are ones I am personally interested in. If you want to watch more, you can simply just google SDCC 2018 or something similar and find lots of posts talking about all the other things that have been announced/released this year!
