Okay, let’s be real though – me with children? Very unlikely, but still I wanted to give this subject a go. Because the books I’ve put on my list are amazing books that I would personally want to reread until eternity, or they were books I read when I was young and think they would be perfect for young children as well. So yeah, let’s get started. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme organised by The Broke and the Bookish.

Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling
The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan
Matilda by Roald Dahl
Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer

Which books would you read to your future children?
  • The Hobbit! Totally agree with that one! I love the Hobbit. I haven’t read Cinder, but a lot of bloggers added the book to the list. Now, I’m thinking I really miss out on a lot! I should read it.

  • I loved Roald Dahl as a kid. His books are so much fun. Matilda is my favorite.

  • Yes! This list is so spot on! My mom actually read The Hobbit to us at bedtime when we were kids. Unfortunately, I did NOT appreciate it at the time. Haha!

Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and Matilda were all on my list this week too! I would have included Artemis Fowl but I was only going with books I own and I borrowed those from the library. Like you, I can’t picture myself with kids, so I went with nieces/nephews instead. I would much rather be fun aunt than mum!
