Behind the Scenes

Wrap-Up: September 2017

September is almost over, which means we need to wrap things up! I have kind of picked up blogging again this month, but I do need to work on my reviewing skills. I reviewed one book I finished this month, though technically it’s the only review-able book I have read this month. Anyway, let’s wrap things up because even though I hardly read any books this month, I did buy a lot of stuff. Oops?

Books I bought, received

Other things bought, received

Okay seeing as I bought/acquired a lot of things this month, I’m not going to individually mention them. These are all things I got at Comic Con, at the shopping trip in Amsterdam or just randomly bought throughout the month.

I did get two new coats, a lovely green leather jacket that I saw and immediately fell in love with, and a winter coat that had a piece of fur on the hood that I removed and gave to the cats. The other thing on this last picture is a Kate Bishop suit that I bought from Aliexpress but wasn’t exactly 100% accurate. I’m going to resell this suit and remake a morph suit myself.

Funko Pops I bought

I’ve decided to add this as a separate category because I have a problem and need to be stopped.

From left to right, top to bottom: Phil Coulson (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Daisy Johnson (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Natasha Romanoff (Captain America: Civil War), X-23 (X-Men). Han Solo (The Force Awakens), Baze Malbus (Rogue One), Chirrut Îmwe (Rogue One), K-2SO (Rogue One). And last is a Cassian Andor doll.

Read, seen, started

Read

Watched

Want to read, see next month

I’ve decided not to do the ‘did I read/watch what I wanted to do this month’ thing this time, because I know I didn’t. So without further ado, I’m just going to tell you what I am hoping to read and see next month!

Want to read: The Ship of the Dead, Tower of Dawn, A Monster Calls, Vicious, Ultraviolet, All-New Ghost Rider.
Want to see: Legion S1, The Mountain Between Us, Thor: Ragnarok, Loving Vincent.

And so we have arrived at the end of another month. September felt weird to me, but I’m hoping October will be different/better! I’m going to try to write more reviews, including movies as well, but I guess we’ll see at the end of the month how that has worked out!

See you in October!
