December, the month of Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Best of the Year and of course another couple of great movies! For three years it used to be the month of The Hobbit, but I think from now on until three years from now it’ll be the month of Star Wars! Let’s take a look at the December movies I am anticipating the most!

Nocturnal Animals – 1 December

An art gallery owner is haunted by her ex-husband’s novel, a violent thriller she interprets as a veiled threat and a symbolic revenge tale. Cast: Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Michael Shannon. IMDB.

I don’t know much about this movie, just that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is in it and apparently it’s a bit scary. But yeah I am very intrigued, and I really want to see it asap!

Star Wars: Rogue One – 14 December

The Rebellion makes a risky move to steal the plans to the Death Star, setting up the epic saga to follow. Cast: Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen,  Diego Luna, Forest Whitaker, Riz Ahmed. IMDB.

I thought we had to wait two years for a new Star Wars movie, but then came the news of Rogue One and I got really excited! And that for someone who didn’t get into Star Wars until the beginning of this year. This movie just looks amazing and I CANNOT WAIT for it to come out!

Collateral Beauty – 15 December

Retreating from life after a tragedy, a man questions the universe by writing to Love, Time and Death. Receiving unexpected answers, he begins to see how these things interlock and how even loss can reveal moments of meaning and beauty. Cast: Will Smith, Keira Knightley, Kate Winslet,  Edward Norton, Naomie Harris, Helen Mirren, Michael Peña. IMDB.

At first, this movie didn’t really catch my eye at all because I thought it was going to be a typical ‘Love Actually’ type movie. But when I saw the trailer in the cinema, I thought it might actually be a nice movie, so I am definitely looking forward to it!

Passengers – 22 December

A spacecraft travelling to a distant colony planet and transporting thousands of people has a malfunction in its sleep chambers. As a result, two passengers are awakened 90 years early. Cast: Chris Pratt, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Sheen, Laurence Fishburne.

Two amazing actors in a space ship, sign me the f up! Upon first seeing this trailer, I thought it was rather similar to Across the Universe, a book series I loved. So yes that and the fact that it’s Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence made me very excited for it!

Which December movies are you excited for?
