Behind the Scenes #36

Yes, I’m still alive. I have not been feeling like blogging at all since I came back from Lanzarote, but I am slowly picking it up again. Trying to write better/shorter reviews so I can blog more in the future and just thinking about new things I could post on my blog. Anyway, today I’m going to share some pictures from the past three-or-so weeks. I got these Funkos from EMP/Large, and there was a 1/10 chance of getting a Frodo Chase. Guess what I got. (I do still secretly want the normal version as well). Tanja invited me over […]

{Tag} – Bookshelf Scavenger Hunt

A couple of days ago, I found this Book Shelf Scavenger Hunt on Vivian’s Blog and decided to take it over from her. I love going through my bookshelf and finding books that fit a certain description, and I certainly enjoyed doing this scavenger hunt! I don’t know who originally created this tag, though, but if you do, please let me know! Find an author’s name or title with the letter Z in it For this one, I decided to go for the title, as I couldn’t think of an author whose name started with a Z that I owned a book […]

{Trailer} – Marvel’s The Defenders

San Diego Comic Con is happening again, and naturally, a lot of studios will release information about upcoming movies, TV shows, etc. Marvel and Netflix have released a new trailer for their upcoming collaboration, The Defenders. This show stars the four main characters from the previous shows, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and the Iron Fist. Blind ninja. Smart-ass detective. Bulletproof ex-con. Kung Fu billionaire. Marvel’s The Defenders centers on four outsider heroes that have to put aside their personal issues and come together when a villainous sect threatens to destroy New York City as we know it. {Review} The Diabolic by S.J. Kincaid

I first heard of The Diabolic through BookTube. I believe it was a book featured in a subscription box, and lots of people on BookTube had received this box and thus hauled the book. What intrigued me the most wasn’t the synopsis (though that sounded interesting), it was the comparison to The Hunger Games and Star Wars. I was wondering how those two could be combined and added the book to my TBR. Around the time the book was released, a friend was kind enough to gift me an ARC copy of the book, and I told myself I would pick it […]

Behind the Scenes #35

Remember when I said I was going to pick up blogging again? Well, I failed, but at least I remembered to put up a Behind the Scenes post. This time I’m sharing the first two weeks of July, which honestly have been rather uneventful. But still, I managed to put together a bunch of pictures to show to you this time! L: I put together a rainbow TBR this month, even though I am pretty sure I won’t be reading all these books. So far, I’ve only started The Diabolic and the month is already halfway done. Oh well, one day […]

The Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag

We’re halfway through the year, so it is time for the mid-year book freak out tag. I did this tag last year as well, and am probably going to continue this tradition for the upcoming years. Basically, it’s like the End of the Year Survey, but for the first six months only. I don’t know who originally created it, as I found it on Tumblr last time and this year I’ve got it from Quite the Novel Idea. Let’s do this. Best book you’ve read so far this year Honestly, this has got to go to the Rogue One novelization. […]

July Movies I Want to See

We’re less than a week into July, and of course it’s time for another ‘movies I want to see’ post. Again, there aren’t a lot of movies I am super excited for, but I did manage to find a couple more that sounded interesting. Let’s start with the one I am most excited for… Spider-Man: Homecoming – 6 July Several months after the events of Captain America: Civil War, Peter Parker, with the help of his mentor Tony Stark, tries to balance his life as an ordinary high school student in Queens, New York City while fighting crime as his superhero alter […]
